Welcome to BSA Troop 27!

We have served scouts from Kingwood and the surrounding communities for over thirty-five years.

Troop 27 is a boy-led active troop with monthly campouts and activities.

Chartered by Christ the King Lutheran Church, our goals remain to encourage young men in the scouting ways: personal achievement, character development, citizenship, leadership, and fitness.

We meet on Mondays at Christ the King, starting at 7:00 PM in the Youth Building. Any young man between the ages of 11 and 17 is welcome.

Mr. Dietrich has graciously agreed to join Mr. Kell, Mr. Stallings, Mr. Sted, and Mr. Szaal as an Assistant Scoutmaster to work with me to deliver the best Scouting Program that we can to the boys in the troop.

Scouts perform service day

Scouts from Troop 27 performed a day of service at the Christ the King church campus on Saturday, July 19th. Scouts participating included: Wil (SPL), Webb (Patrol Leader-Scorpions), Zane (Asst. Patrol Leader-Scorpions), Steve (Patrol Leader-Ninjas), Matt, Reagan, Grant, Preston, Braden, Pierce, Zack, Alex and Trent. Adults included: Mr. Varela, Mr. Walling, Mr. Vera, Mr. Szaal and Mrs. Stallings.
